An Honest Review of Grove Collaborative

Grove Co. is one of my favorite online shops to get my household and personal items. I order from them about once every month or so or when I’m nearing the end of my products. 

In this post, you’ll read all about what I love and what I don’t on an online store I’ve been using for about 6 months now to order personal and household items.

What’s Grove Collaborative?

To sum them up, Grove Co. sells natural-based, organic and vegan toiletries, skincare, cleaning, baby and other household supplies.

A few reasons I use and love them are because I trust that their brands are safe, are within my budget, and the customer service is truly phenomenal. I’ll tell you more in detail below.

OK OK OK So here’s the DL of what I LOVE About Grove Collaborative:

1. For one, It’s convenient. I’m able to click it + forget it!

Let me just say, it’s seriously so nice to quickly add something to my cart from my phone when I’ve realized I’m almost out of dishwashing detergent, shaving cream, or deodorant, etc. and then just forget about it. Because like, who has time to drive to the store, search for what they need, stand in line, checkout, then drive all the way back home just to figure out that, yep – you guessed it, YOU FORGOT SOMETHING.

Ugh, it’s seriously the worst. And we’ve all done it before.

But with Grove Co., I’m able to log into my account, order what I need and boom! It took me all of about five minutes, my products are on their way and I don’t even have to leave the comfort of my own home. Talk about #winning! 

But really, why waste time when you don’t have to? Grove Co. makes it incredibly simple to get what you need so that you can spend more time on things are more important…

2. The Price is Right!

Okay honestly, I usually shop at Target to get the same products and have found that Grove is cheaper. Not on all things,  but for the most part, they usually have the better price. But hey, good news is that if you catch it…. they price match for their VIP members! La la la love it.

4. Shopping with Benefits

There are a few notable VIP Perks such as free shipping, PRICE MATCHING, and freebies! I mean, what’s not to love about that? Also, another cool perk is that every VIP gets a customer service rep. So, for example, if you need to get a price match on an item all you would do is message your rep and they will match that price for you. Eazy peazy!

But did you say “freebies”?  

Yes! K so basically as a VIP you’ll get rewarded with free lotions, candles, scrubs, etc. randomly! It’s little happy’s like these that brighten your day and make you really love Grove.

5. They carry products I love and trust.

Being that this blog is about natural, safe and organic products, Grove Co. is a go-to! All of their products are safe, sustainable, eco-friendly and not tested on animals!

Some of my favorites: Mrs. Meyer’s (Rosemary and Basil scent), Tom’s Toothpaste and Deodorant, Seventh Generation laundry detergent, Dr. Bronner’s Shave Soap, and sometimes I order from the Grove collection as well (really digging their “Mint + Argan” chapstick).

6. They’ll remind you before they send your items!

Let me just say, I’ve do not like auto-ship. I repeat.

Here is what I like: 

Grove will send you a reminder when they think you may be nearing the end of the products you’ve purchased and let you know the ship date. If you don’t need them, you can simply email your rep and tell them you’re still good!

Here’s what I don’t like: 

Being that it’s just me, I don’t go through products very fast. Like……laundry Detergent will literally last me a year. I don’t like that they automatically think I need more within a specified amount of time.

It’s not a huge deal because they send reminders but if I’d have to find a con, that’s what I’d say.

Fortunately, I’ve never received a shipment I didn’t know about.

7.  Damaged Goods

I will say, shipping is not the most prompt. However, for damaged products, they will quickly send you what you ordered.

About a month ago I ordered Mrs. Meyer’s Rosemary Multi-Surface Cleaner and the bottle must have busted in transit. 

I contacted Grove and they sent me a new one and I had an un-damaged multi-surface cleaner at my door within days!

8. Customer service is top of the line!

Like I stated earlier, VIP members get assigned their own rep but they also have a customer service chat. A++ because who really likes sitting on the phone talking to a robot? Not me!

I love how thought out and customer oriented this business is. They know and understand that the future is online and have a close to perfect system in place.

Grove Co is simply the best!

I seriously love this company. I’ve stated all of the reasons I love Grove above and the only notable thing I can say is that I feel that shipping is a little below par. It takes about a week to a week and a half to get your products (unless damaged). In the beginning, I noted that I’ve only been shopping with Grove for about six months but it really has been a phenomenal experience so far.
