First Things First
For this post, I’m using the “Mud O.G.” detox mask which is basically the foundation of the Mint Skin Collection and is absolutely ahh-mazing! It’s best used for “congested, oily & acne prone facial skin or if you suffer from rashes or cellulite on the body”. Yes, you read that right. You can use this mask on cellulite to reduce the appearance #yesplease.
Bentonite’s healing powers are activated through contact with liquid, creating an electromagnetic charge which makes the clay absorb harmful toxins and replace them with beauty minerals like calcium, magnesium, and silica. Betonite helps skin problems like acne, psoriasis, and eczema.
Ultrafine Zeolite Clay
Zeolite is a beauty mineral that has the ability to absorb, store and neutralize toxins. Rich in silicon, calcium, potassium, and iron.
Australian Green Clay
Australian Green Clay is the strongest of all clays and is best for detoxifying acne-prone and oily skin. It works to re-balance oil flow, strengthen skin, repair scars and reduce cellulite.
Leave on for 10-15 minutes, or until dry
Remember Glam Glow and how awesome we all thought it was? If you’ve never tried it, the coolest part (to me atleast) was getting to see all of the dirt on the surface of your skin come up and you were literally left with a “glow” afterward. Well, Mint Skin’s mask does the same thing except at a quarter of the price with cleaner ingredients! It’s like the natural skin-care gods are speaking to me! Lol and speaking of dirt in the pores, check out mine. Yikessss!
Next, wash off with a warm towel, air dry, and apply “Rosa Hydration” oil for a real GLOW.
Okay, so the “Rosa Oil” is my absolute fave. It’s a blend of Rosehip oil, Jojoba, and Australian made Macadamia oil combined to defend against “free radicals, increase brightness, and feed the skin with beneficial vitamins and fatty acids such as Omega 3 and 6 to protect against environmental damage”. Unlike cream moisturizers and lotions that contain lots of water, the Rosa oil is absorbed into the skin almost immediately to bring essential moisture and antioxidants into your skin. Oh, btw…. did I mention that the smell is absolutely phenomenal. It’s like everything girly and amazing and floral all in one bottle. To give you a little insight, it smells almost exactly like Jo Malone’s “Peony and Blush Suede” scent (which is high key my guilty obsession).
Mint suggests using Rosa Hydration to combat dull, tired skin for a purified even complexion or with the Hydration mask for even more hydrating and beautiful greatness.
Rosehip refined oil is extremely high in essential fatty acids and Vitamin C, helping to soothe dry and irritated skin whilst nourishing and rejuvenating its appearance.
Jojoba Clear Oil is rich in Vitamin E and has a very close chemical composition to the skin’s sebum, making it suitable for all skin types especially skin that is prone to outbreaks.
A regenerative oil high in monounsaturated fatty acids, it contains Palmitoleic acid, omega 3 and omega 6 fatty acids that promote soft skin.
Behind the scenes snuggles w/ SoHo and the DL on the “Mud Rosa” Mud Mask
Mint also sent the “Mud Rosa” which is basically moisture on steroids. Since I’m seriously on a schedule for everything and this post was made on a weekend I did the detox clay. I like to think it detoxes the week out of my skin, lol. Then on Wednesday’s, I’ll hydrate my skin to give it a mid-week moisture with the Mud Rosa and also top with the same oil from above. The smell is just like the Rosa Hydration Oil but a tad stronger which I lovvveeeee. The mask leaves your skin feeling clean, velvety, and re-balanced while also keeping skin hydrated, purified, and radiant. Read below for the ingredients pulled from the Mint Skin site.
Uplifting, anti-inflammatory, scented pure rose oil.
The anti-bacterial, moisturizing and soothing ingredient that helps restore glow.
A regenerative oil high in mono-unsaturated fatty acids, it contains Palmitoleic acid, omega 3 and omega 6 fatty acids that promote soft skin.
Soothing and hydrating extract that calms irritation and inflammation on the skin.
Australian native ingredient rich in vitamin C. A powerful brightening agent.
A gentle clay that softly draws out impurities and brightens complexion.
